PTCMA F2F CPDs

Prior to 2020, PTCMA events were held in person at the various funders in Johannesburg, Pretoria and Cape Town. Moving online has opened up the opportunity to reach more people across the country, but there is still value in meeting face-to-face.

We are giving our members an opportunity to sponsor face-to-face CPDs again - these sessions will be what we had before 2020 and similar to the VCPD programme, except in person.

How will it look like?

  • Think VCPD

    but face-to-face. These sessions will be clinical presentations with Q&A.

  • Limited sessions available

    in Johannesburg, Pretoria and Cape Town.

  • Choose topic and presenter

  • Invite 10 of your own guests

    to attend

  • PTCMA facilitates the session

    on behalf of the sponsor, incl. invitation & registration management, meeting chair, venue & catering
    – sponsor is included in communication

Programme

To optimise limited opportunities, each event will have two slots available for sponsorship that will run back-to-back.

Timelines

3-4 months prior

Reserve the date

An invitation to reserve dates circulated in November and at times throughout the year, with reservations open on the Dates Reservation Form.

14 weeks prior

Action Form

The online Action Form, the tool used to receive all the relevant information from the Sponsor (see sample), is sent to the Sponsor for completion.

10 weeks prior

Details submitted

It is requested that the Sponsor submit the online Action Form 10 weeks prior to the event to ensure the rest of the process flows as needed.

1 day before

Reminders

Email reminders will be send automatically from the Portal a day before and an hour before the session. An SMS reminder will also be sent.

5 days prior

Slide deck

We respectfully request that the presenter's slides be sent to the PTCMA 5 days prior to the meeting for compliance review.

6 weeks prior

Invitation

If all documentation is completed and the Sponsor gave permission, we aim to send the invitation 6 weeks prior to the session for optimal attendance.

Event
2 days after

Attendance shared

A copy of the attendance register and the recording will be shared within 2 days. Attendance will be recorded on the PTCMA Portal within 7 days.

End of month

CPD points

As per the HPCSA requirements, we send a list of attendees according to activity directly to the HPCSA at the end of the month for CPD point allocation.

Recording and streaming options will not be available for F2F CPD sessions. Should this be required, please connect with the PTCMA team beforehand.
