DMA110 Online Course – Terms and Conditions
1. General Information
1.1 This course is delivered online via the Moodle platform:
https://courses.ptcma.org.za/
1.2 The DMA110 course runs twice per year over a 5-week period on scheduled dates.
1.3 All official communication will be sent via email; however, participants remain responsible for regularly checking the Moodle platform for updates and announcements.
1.4 Participants must ensure they have:
- Reliable internet access
- A device capable of accessing Moodle and Zoom
- Earphones/headphones with microphone functionality (recommended for live sessions)
2. Registration
2.1 Registration opens in advance and closes at 10:00 on the Thursday of the week preceding the course start date. No late registrations will be accepted.
2.2 The course officially commences on the Monday following registration closure.
2.3 Upon submission of registration, an invoice will be issued to the participant or their organisation.
Payment Requirements
2.4 Non-PTCMA members: Full payment must be received before the course start date.
2.5 PTCMA members: Either payment or a valid Purchase Order must be received before the course start date.
2.6 It is the participant’s responsibility to ensure timely payment or submission of required documentation.
Payment Plan Option
2.7 Participants who register on or before 28 July may opt for a payment plan.
2.8 A 50% non-refundable deposit is payable upon registration via the PayFast option.
2.9 The remaining 50% balance must be paid by Friday, 21 August, and in all cases before the course commences.
2.10 This payment plan is only available for registrations completed on or before 28 July.
2.11 Participants will receive a PayFast payment link to settle the outstanding balance prior to the start of the course.
2.12 A Tax Invoice will be issued once full payment has been received.
2.13 Should a participant wish to transfer their registration to a colleague, they must contact registration@ptcma.org.za to discuss available options.
2.14 If a participant is unable to attend the course on the scheduled date, they may request that the deposit be allocated as a credit toward the next enrolment.
2.15 Any deferred enrolment will be subject to applicable price increases, and the credit will remain valid for a period of 12 months only.
Cancellations and Refunds
2.7 Participants may cancel their registration before the course start date.
2.8 No refunds will be issued once the course has commenced.
2.9 Participants who withdraw after the course start date will forfeit their course fee and must re-register for a future course.
3. Access to the Course
3.1 Participants will receive login details via email once payment (or PO, where applicable) has been received.
3.2 Access to the Orientation Module will be granted in the week prior to the course start date.
3.3 Full access to course content will be granted from 10:00 on the official start date (Monday).
3.4 Access to the course will remain available until the course end date, after which access will be revoked.
4. Live Contact Sessions
4.1 The course includes three (3) live Zoom contact sessions.
4.2 Session dates and details will be communicated at the beginning of the course.
4.3 Participants are required to attend at least two (2) of the three sessions.
4.4 Failure to meet the attendance requirement will result in disqualification from completing the assessment, with no refund.
5. Assessment and Completion Requirements
5.1 Participants will be required to complete a Multiple-Choice Question (MCQ) assessment.
Assessment Criteria
5.2 A minimum score of 70% is required to pass.
5.3 Participants will have two (2) attempts to complete the assessment.
5.4 A mandatory waiting period of 3 days applies between the first and second attempt.
Assessment Availability
5.5 The assessment will:
- Open: Friday of Week 3
- Close: Friday of Week 5
5.6 Participants are responsible for managing their time effectively.
- If the first attempt is taken too late, and the 3-day waiting period cannot be observed before the closing date, no additional attempt will be granted.
6. Extensions
6.1 Extension requests must be submitted before the assessment closing date.
6.2 Extensions will be granted at a fee of R100 per week.
6.3 Extensions will not exceed three (3) weeks under any circumstances.
7. Certification
7.1 Participants who successfully meet all requirements will receive a certificate of completion.
7.2 Certificates will be issued within 10 working days of successful completion.
7.3 For courses completed after 13 December, certificates may only be issued in mid-January of the following year.
8. Participant Responsibility
8.1 Participants are responsible for:
- Ensuring access to required technology and internet connectivity
- Keeping track of all course deadlines
- Monitoring communications sent via email and Moodle
